Speaker Bio
Joshua Lunger is Senior Vice President of Advocacy at the Grand Rapids Chamber, where he focuses on housing, local government, and other issues that impact the region. With extensive experience in housing policy and community development, Lunger brings business, government, nonprofit, philanthropic, and community leaders together to develop practical solutions that strengthen West Michigan.

Lunger has been deeply involved in regional efforts to address homelessness and expand access to housing. He played an important role in the business community’s engagement with 100 in 100 Kent County, an initiative launched to house 100 individuals experiencing chronic homelessness in 100 days. Through the Chamber and Chamber Foundation, Lunger helped connect business and community leaders to the effort and build partnerships to help move individuals into permanent housing with supportive services.

Building on the success of 100 in 100, Lunger has continued this work through the Downtown Pathways Project, which brings nonprofit, philanthropic, community, and business leaders together to address chronic homelessness in downtown Grand Rapids. Launched in 2026, the project builds on lessons from 100 in 100 and works to establish measurable goals and align community partners around a shared approach to reducing homelessness.
