Adam MacLeod is a professor of law at Faulkner University, a Senior Scholar of the Center for Intellectual Property x Innovation Policy at George Mason University, and a research fellow of the Center for Religion, Culture, and Democracy. He has been a visiting fellow in the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton University. He is co-editor of Christie and Martin's Jurisprudence (4th ed. West 2020) and the author of Property and Practical Reason (Cambridge University Press 2015) and more than 100 articles, essays, and book reviews. He is a faculty member in the James Madison Program’s graduate seminar on the Moral Foundations of Law. And he had contributed to journals of news and public opinions such as the Washington Post, Washington Times, National Review Online, Public Discourse, and Law & Liberty.

Professor MacLeod is a graduate of Gordon College and the University of Notre Dame Law School. He served as law clerk to Chief Justice Christopher Armstrong and Justice Benjamin Kaplan of the Massachusetts Appeals Court and to Chief Judge Lewis Babcock of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. He practiced law in the Boston area and has served as a special deputy attorney general of Alabama. He is a legal staff officer in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. He lives in Montgomery, Alabama, with the joys of his life, his wife and daughters.
