Otto Vontobel (English)
Otto grew up in Santa Maria, in the countryside of Rio Grande do Sul, where he learned the value of work from the age of 10, even before taking his first vacation. Like his siblings, he worked as an office boy, delivery person, sales promoter, machine operator, and office assistant at the family’s Coca-Cola franchise – CVI.
He holds a degree in Business Administration from FAAP/SP. From the age of 21 to 31, Otto worked as an entrepreneur in São Paulo, a buyer at GM/SP, president in Brazil of an international student organization – AIESEC/SP, ready-to-drink juice manager at Tecnovin/RS, and project manager at Biopack in Taipei, Taiwan.
Upon returning to Brazil, he earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from PUC-RS and took over the management of the family’s bottled mineral water business, serving the southern region of the country. After the sale of the water business to Coca-Cola, as a CFP professional, he joined the team at Vokin Investimentos, an independent asset management firm, where he is a founding partner. The firm operates with a value investing philosophy, focusing on equities in the local market, managing assets under management (AUM) of R$ 2.2 billion.
Otto is married to Sharon and is the father of two teenage daughters. Since childhood, he has been involved in both formal and informal education, inside and outside the classroom, as well as within the community of disciples of Jesus in Porto Alegre, where they are active members. In addition to their involvement in the youth leadership of their congregation, Otto and Sharon serve in a ministry called Praticantes—a non-profit organization that seeks to help people put the Word of God into practice. Otto studied at the Word of Life Bible Institute in the Tampa Bay area, Florida, during a sabbatical year in 2019/20.

Otto cresceu em Santa Maria, Interior do Rio Grande do Sul, onde aprendeu a trabalhar, desde os 10 anos antes de sair em férias. Como seus irmãos, trabalhou de office boy, entregador, promotor de vendas, operador de maquinas e auxiliar de escritório ... na franquia de Coca-Cola - CVI, empresa familiar.
Formado em Administração de Empresas pela FAAP/SP, Otto trabalhou dos 21 aos 31 como empreendedor/SP, comprador na GM/SP, presidente no Brasil de uma organização internacional de estudantes - AIESEC/SP, gerente de ready to drink juice - Tecnovin/RS, gerente de projetos - Biopack/ Taipei-Taiwan;
Volta ao Brasil, fez mestrado em Administração de empresas na PUC-RS e assumiu a direção do engarrafamento de água mineral da família, atendendo a região sul. Após a venda do negócio de água para Coca-Cola, como CFP®️, integra o time da Vokin Investimentos, asset management independente, em que é sócio-fundador, que atua com visão de value-investing, focada em renda variável no mercado local - AUM de R$ 2,2Bi.
Otto é casado com Sharon, pai duas adolescentes e desde a infância, atua na educação formal e informal, tanto na escola, fora dela, bem como na comunidade de discípulos de Jesus em Porto Alegre, onde congregam. Além do envolvimento na liderança de jovens da congregação, Otto e Sharon atuam em um ministério chamado Praticantes, organização sem fins lucrativos que visa ajudar as pessoas a colocar a Palavra de Deus em prática. Otto estudou no Word of Life Bible institute - Tampa bay area/FL em uma ano sabático 2019/20.
