Is good leadership even possible? How can you discern your vocation? Can leadership be taught?

The Character & Leadership Summit is a conference made for young leaders who want to discuss these questions with other students from a variety of perspectives. During this unique 2-day summit, you will learn from experts who are established in their careers, enjoy hospitality and networking, and discuss important issues at a deep level.

The conference will feature two impressive leaders who have combined experience in Higher Education, Non-profit, Law, and Business sectors. Peter Greer, CEO of Hope international, will kick off the conference with an address on his new book, The Gift of Disillusionment: Enduring Hope for Leaders after Idealism Fades. The following day, Russell P. Dawn, President of Concordia University - Chicago, will guide us through a series of three lectures exploring the connection between the Good Life, our particular vocations, and leadership. Interspersed between his lectures, participants will have the chance to discuss these topics on a small-group setting.

The Summit will be held in Grand Rapids, Michigan at the Acton Institute HQ. This two-day conference will begin on Friday, September 9th and end on Saturday, September 10th. Participants will be free to travel on Sunday morning. Due to several generous donors, Acton will cover travel to and from Grand Rapids, hotel, and food for the weekend.
